It's a done deal: the Cameroon international is set to turn the page on his time with the Marseille club.
Faris Moumbagna to leave OM, heading to Cremonese
Faris Moumbagna is no longer an Olympique de Marseille player. On Monday, August 25, 2025, the Cameroonian striker signed with Cremonese, newly promoted to Serie A, kickstarting a fresh challenge in Italy. A new chapter begins after a year and a half on the Canebière.
Moumbagna arrived at OM in the winter of 2024 from Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt, generating plenty of intrigue thanks to his physical attributes and clinical finishing. However, despite flashes of brilliance, the Cameroonian never truly managed to secure a regular spot at OM, hindered by fierce competition and a lack of consistency in his performances. In 21 appearances for the Olympians (all competitions combined), he found the net four times, but never established himself as an undisputed starter.
At 25, Faris Moumbagna is set to join Cremonese, who are returning to the top flight of Italian football after an impressive campaign in Serie B. The Lombard club was looking for an attacking boost to support their Serie A comeback, and sees the Cameroonian striker as a promising option. OM, meanwhile, are making a sensible move by trimming their squad. According to reports, Faris Moumbagna will join on loan with an option to buy.
