According to Meu Timao, Corinthians’ Fatal Fans sponsorship provides funds that could aid a move for free agent Gabi Nunes.
The deal is worth R$ 22 million to December 2027. Corinthians requested more than 60% be paid in the first 90 days, which was accepted.
A renewed offer is expected after an initial bid was rejected over salary terms. Talks continue and there is optimism, but she wants improved pay and has interest from Europe, the United States and Mexico.
Nunes is training with a personal trainer in Tatuapé and was recently seen in an old Corinthians kit. Coach Emily Lima has backed the move and urged swift action to avoid a rival signing, noting Nunes’ strong bond with club and fans.
From 2016 to 2021 she won five trophies with Corinthians and scored 77 goals with 20 assists, ranking fourth all time for the Brabas.
After Madrid CFF and Levante, she joined Aston Villa in 2024, recording 23 games, six goals and one assist. A lumbar disc hernia surgery early in the season limited her to one appearance in 2025/26.
The club also plan to use the funds to clear a 12-day delay in the women’s squad’s image rights and to manage expiring contracts, with Gisela Robledo signed to 31 August and several others to 31 December.
