Fazendinha renovations near completion, FPF set for inspection next week

According to information initially published by Meu Timão, Corinthians is in the final stages of improvement works at the Alfredo Schürig Stadium. It’s worth noting that the venue has been banned from hosting night games since mid-May 2025. In recent months, Fazendinha has been undergoing changes to its lighting structures with the aim of resuming night matches.

Furthermore, according to the report, the Paulista Football Federation (FPF) will carry out an inspection process at Fazendinha over the next week to analyze the conditions of the new lighting system. If approved by the entity, the stadium will once again be able to host night games for the women’s team as well as the youth categories.

According to the outlet, the works are considered ‘minor’ compared to what was initially planned by the club. The club had planned an investment of R$ 10 million – through a partner, since due to financial reasons it is unable to fund it from its own coffers, in addition to including several other improvements at Fazendinha.

However, the current priority is changing the lighting system. During this period without using Fazendinha, Corinthians has already played at Canindé, Neo Química Arena, and José Liberatti in Osasco. The next home match for the Brabas will be on March 23, at 9:00 PM (Brasília time), for the fifth round of the first stage of the Women’s Brasileirão.
