FC Augsburg 'reject' latest Crystal Palace bid for Matsima | OneFootball

FC Augsburg have rejected Crystal Palace’s latest offer for centre-back Chrislain Matsima, with the clubs still far apart on valuation, according to Sky Germany.

Palace submitted an improved €25 million bid late on Saturday, which was turned down on Sunday morning.

The 23-year-old has agreed personal terms with the Premier League side, but that has not bridged the gap.

Augsburg are determined not to sell below their asking price and would seek a club-record fee if an agreement is reached.

Their current record sale is Abdul Rahman Baba’s €26 million move to Chelsea in 2015, so any deal for Matsima would set a new benchmark for the Bavarian club.
