Speaking to the press this Friday, Barça head coach Hansi Flick opened up about Robert Lewandowski's injury while on international duty.

According to the Spanish media, FC Barcelona has reportedly been frustrated with Robert Lewandowski in recent days. The Polish striker is accused of picking up an injury against Lithuania and making it worse by continuing to play. Now, Lewandowski is sidelined and unavailable for more than a month. Addressing the issue, Hansi Flick insisted that his striker did not realize he was injured.

"Robert told me the same thing (as the Polish national team coach). He felt fine and wasn't feeling any pain. We know these things can happen during international breaks. It's not easy for the players and it hurts us a lot. All the travel they have to do, going to the Ballon d'Or gala... (...) I don't think any player takes better care of his body than Robert, and he told me he didn't think he was injured. He always takes great care of himself. No one his age, except maybe Ronaldo, is in such good shape. It's tough for us, but we have to work through it," he explained at the press conference.
