FC Bayern and Emirates airline have signed a long-term contract that will run until the end of the 2031/32 season. The partnership essentially comprises perimeter advertising at the Allianz Arena on all Bundesliga match days, as well as joint activations on both companies' social and digital channels.
Michael Diederich, Deputy Chairman of FC Bayern, explains: „FC Bayern is very pleased to have gained a strong and shining partner in Emirates, which has been a committed supporter of club football in Europe for decades. FC Bayern also needs financial planning security to achieve its sporting goals, so Emirates is an ideal fit for our club's family of partners. It will also help us that Emirates connects football fans around the world and can support FC Bayern in its internationalization plans.“
Sir Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline said: "We are immensely proud to partner with FC Bayern – Germany’s most iconic football club and a true global sporting giant. This landmark partnership represents far more than a commercial agreement; it embodies our deep commitment to Germany, which stands as a cornerstone of our European network. By aligning ourselves with this legendary sporting institution, we’re forging a connection to the Club’s rich heritage and its extraordinarily passionate community. Few forces match sport's remarkable capacity to unite hearts and minds across cultures and continents, and we look forward to building meaningful relationships with millions of devoted FC Bayern Munich fans around the world, while celebrating excellence, a value that defines both Emirates and FC Bayern Munich.”
Since 2001, the Dubai-based company has supported outstanding European soccer clubs, initially Chelsea FC, then AC Milan since 2007, Real Madrid since 2011, and Benfica Lisbon since 2014. Emirates has been associated with Arsenal London for 19 years. Long-term commitment and reliability are strategic pillars of the airline.
With FC Bayern as its partner, Emirates is returning to the Bundesliga. Germany is one of the most important European destinations for the airline. Emirates connects people, places, and economies across six continents. With a total of 63 weekly nonstop flights from Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, and Hamburg, Emirates offers leisure and corporate travelers as well as passengers visiting friends or relatives key connectivity from Germany to Dubai and beyond via its international hub at Dubai International Airport. Emirates’ global route network spans 153 destinations in 81 countries.
In addition to football, Emirates is also active in sailing, cricket, golf, rugby, and tennis, among other sports. The airline is also a sponsor of all four Grand Slam tennis tournaments and has established itself as an iconic brand in sports and culture (music, film, literature) over the past 25 years through its exceptionally consistent commitments.
