FC Porto proposal to widen bench and raise substitutes to 12 approved | OneFootball

A proposal from FC Porto to expand the substitutes' bench has been approved during a General Assembly of clubs.

O Jogo understands that the meeting was convened to discuss and vote on changes to disciplinary and competition regulations.

The measure increases the maximum number of substitutes from nine to 12, alongside enlarging the available bench capacity.

The change mirrors UEFA competitions, where teams can list 12 substitutes.

This approval formed part of a wider package of regulatory amendments considered by the clubs.
