FC Bayern Women have signed Regina van Eijk. The 24-year-old Dutchwoman will move to Munich from Ajax ahead of the forthcoming season on a three-year contract through to 30 June 2029.
Bianca Rech, director of women’s football at FC Bayern: “We’re very happy that Regina has chosen to join FC Bayern and will be part of our team from the summer. She’s a goalkeeper who, despite her young age, already has plenty of experience and has taken on responsibility in important matches. Regina has impressed with consistently strong performances at Ajax in the last few years and proven herself at a high level there. She appears very commanding and confident on the pitch and exudes great calm, which carries over to her teammates. Likewise, she’ll fit right into our team and complement our goalkeeper group with her positive, open and lively character. We very much look forward to welcoming Regina to Munich ahead of the new season.”

Regina van Eijk: “I’m really pleased to have signed for FC Bayern. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world, and everyone who I spoke to about the club only had positive things to say about FC Bayern. Some great female and male footballers from my country have played here in the past, which also strengthened my desire to one day move here myself. I’d say my style as a goalkeeper is proactive and involved: I like to open up play from the back, be brave and give my team security that way. Likewise, it’s important to me to always get the best out of the team and contribute to shared success. I’m really looking forward to being part of FCB Women from next season.”
Born in Woerden, Netherlands on 9 March 2002, van Eijk began her career in her home city before moving to the nearby talent centre CTO Amsterdam. In 2018, she joined the Ajax academy, where the 1.74-metre goalkeeper was promoted to the first-team squad for the 2021/22 season, initially as third-choice keeper behind Lize Kop and Isa Pothof. She made her Eredivisie debut against VV Alkmaar in October 2021 and since then has developed into a reliable number one. She won the Dutch championship with Ajax in 2022/23 as well as the KNVB Cup in 2024/25. The shot-stopper has already made a name for herself on the international stage, too. Having progressed through the various Netherlands youth teams from U15 level, she was called up to the senior side for the first time in April 2025.
