Fenerbahçe finish unseeded after 1-1, Forest or Plzen in play-off | OneFootball

Fenerbahçe ended the UEFA Europa League league phase with a 1-1 draw at FCSB, clinching a play-off place but missing out on seeding.

They led early in Bucharest but could not close it out. A win could have lifted them as high as 9th or 12th. They finished 19th with 12 points. According to Turkish-Football.com, they will enter the draw unseeded.

Their play-off opponent will be Nottingham Forest or Viktoria Plzen. The seeded side will host the second leg against the Istanbul club.

UEFA’s bracket indicates the winner of Fenerbahçe’s tie will meet the winner of Real Betis versus FC Midtjylland in the Round of 16.

The draw takes place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, today, 30 January, at 14:00 TSI. Supporters are waiting to learn whether it means a trip to the English Midlands or the Czech Republic.
