Fenerbahçe reject links to Stuttgart striker Ermedin Demirović | OneFootball

Fenerbahçe have issued a statement denying reports of a summer move for VfB Stuttgart’s Ermedin Demirović, and also distancing themselves from AC Milan’s Rafael Leão.

Since Thursday, reports had linked the Super Lig club with the sought-after striker. The club said in a statement that claims of interest in Demirović were unfounded and that they would not make any attempt to sign him.

The stance ends any prospect of the Bosnian joining Fenerbahçe this summer. Leeds United and Juventus have also been linked with the attacker, who is under contract until 2028.

Demirović has scored 32 goals in 87 appearances for Stuttgart across the last couple of seasons.

Born in Hamburg, he started all four games for Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Cup.
