FERJ set date and kick-off time for Campeonato Carioca final | OneFootball

FERJ has set the date and kick-off time for the Campeonato Carioca final, which will be played on Sunday 08 at 18:00 Brasília time at the Maracanã. The title will be decided in a single match.

TV Globo revealed the scheduling during its broadcast of Fluminense v Vasco on Sunday 01 in the semi-finals. Flamengo and Madureira are on the other side of the bracket.

Flamengo won the first leg 3-0 and are close to securing a place in the final. The return game is on Monday 02 at 21:00 Brasília time at the Maracanã. Unlike the final, the semi-final is played over two legs.

Globo has moved away from the traditional Sunday football slot because of the heat. The broadcaster now favours 18:00 instead of 16:00 and, as rights holder, holds decision-making power on scheduling.
