Corinthians reached the Copa do Brasil last 16 by eliminating Barra with two 1-0 wins, and have released footage from inside the camp. The latest Corinthians TV cut spotlights dressing-room speeches from Fernando Diniz alongside the decisive moments.
According to Meu Timao, the film opens with supporters at Neo Química Arena before rewinding to the first leg on 21 April in Florianópolis. It intersperses crowd scenes with Yuri Alberto’s late winner and the post-match celebrations.
Back in Santa Catarina, André Ramalho and Gustavo Henrique urged team-mates to treat every match like a final, and Diniz capped the huddle with a blunt, expletive-laden call to arms. Jesse Lingard scored the only goal of that game, and afterwards Gustavo Henrique praised the collective work behind another clean sheet.
The cameras then return to last Thursday in Itaquera, documenting the build-up and a centurion tribute to Gustavo Henrique, who received a commemorative shirt and plaque for 100 appearances. Pre-match words came again from the defender, from Raniele and from goalkeeper Hugo Souza, who demanded the group respect their own work and show it by winning games and titles.
On the pitch in the return, Corinthians created chances but were frustrated by the visiting goalkeeper before Yuri Alberto finally settled it late on. The striker said he was delighted to end a nine-game drought, stressed the importance of the competitions and, wearing ‘Gusmãozin’ for Neo Química’s Dia do Genérico campaign, explained the nickname honours Vila Cristina and his father, Gusmão.
Corinthians now switch focus to the Campeonato Brasileiro, away to Botafogo on Sunday at Estádio Nilton Santos, kick-off 16:00.
