Fernando Seabra offers firm view on Flamengo before Brasileirão clash | OneFootball

Flamengo will meet Coritiba on Saturday in the Brasileirão with a depleted squad due to World Cup call-ups.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the CBF rejected Flamengo’s attempt to move the fixture.

Nine players are away with their countries. Léo Pereira, Danilo, Lucas Paquetá and Alex Sandro have joined Brazil, De La Cruz, Varela and Arrascaeta are with Uruguay, while Plata and Carrascal have linked up with Ecuador and Colombia.

Carrascal is also suspended after a red card against Palmeiras. Jorginho has only a slim chance of involvement as he treats a right big toe injury.

Speaking after Coritiba’s match with Bahia at Couto Pereira, Fernando Seabra said Flamengo were pursuing what they believed was best for themselves, noted the postponement request was denied, and indicated he had no issue with that.
