Feyenoord are weighing up the possibility of signing former Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, according to Dutch outlet Algemeen Dagblad.

Vardy left Leicester at the end of the 2024/25 campaign after more than a decade of service.

The experienced Englishman has been linked with several clubs, including Serie A outfit Cremonese.

Feyenoord finished third in the Eredivisie last season and are eager to challenge for the title this term.

Feyenoord’s chances remain slim despite interest

Feyenoord view Vardy’s situation as intriguing enough to explore, but he is unlikely to join them.

Vardy played a key role in Leicester’s famous Premier League title win in 2016, and helped the club lift the FA Cup five years later.

Vardy continued to make an impact in his final season with Leicester.

The forward tallied ten goals and six assists in 36 appearances, proving that he still has sharpness in front of the goal.

His most prolific individual campaign came in 2019/20, when he finished as the league’s top scorer.

A move abroad would represent something new for Vardy, who has never played outside England during his professional career.

Joining Feyenoord or Cremonese would add another chapter to an already unique career.

Feyenoord are monitoring the situation, but it would be surprising if Vardy agreed to sign for them.
