Corinthians hit the World Cup break with a 3-1 win at Grêmio. According to Meu Timao, a poll found most of the Fiel content yet wanting more.
Of 84 voters, 39.3% chose good but could be better, 35.9% average, 14.3% poor, 6% excellent and 3.6% awful.
They began 2026 as Copa do Brasil holders amid debt near R$ three billion. An overhaul brought 11 departures and low-cost arrivals. The paid exception was midfielder Matheus Pereira, borrowed from Fortaleza for R$ 1.8 million, with Allan, Gabriel Paulista and Jesse Lingard among those signed.
The start was bright, a 3-0 over Ponte Preta and February’s Supercopa win against Flamengo, then form dipped. In the Paulista they got past Portuguesa, lost to Novorizontino, and a nine-game league slump ended Dorival Júnior’s reign in April after defeat to Internacional.
Fernando Diniz lifted the side from the drop zone to ninth, with 24 points after 18 rounds. In the Copa do Brasil they reached the quarter-finals after beating Barra-SC, with Internacional next. In the Libertadores they topped Group E with 11 points and will meet Rosario Central in the last 16.
Across 37 matches they posted 16 wins, 11 draws and 10 defeats, a 53.15% points return. Goals are 41 for, 1.11 per game, and 31 against, 0.84 per game.
Off the pitch, Marcelo Paz replaced Fabinho Soldado, and Julio Cesar succeeded Renan Bloise. Training resumes on 25 June, with FC Cascavel on 12 July, then Remo on 22 July at Neo Química Arena.
