Seventh Asian crown or fifth African trophy at the FIFA Arab Cup 2025?

The rivalry between Africa and Asia has become one of the main attractions of the FIFA Arab Cup 2025.

This Arab tournament is unique in that it brings together national teams from two continents.

For this 11th edition, six African teams have entered the competition: Comoros, Sudan, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, and Egypt.

The tournament’s grand finale will see Jordan take on Morocco on Thursday, December 18, starting at 16:00 GMT.

Jordan will be aiming to deliver a seventh Asian title, following in the footsteps of Iraq (1964, 1966, 1985, and 1988) and Saudi Arabia (1998 and 2002).

Meanwhile, Morocco will be targeting a fifth African triumph, after previous wins by the Atlas Lions in 2012, Tunisia in 1963, Egypt in 1992, and Algeria in 2021.
