Attacking Score: Mikel Oyarzabal

Video OneFootball

With an Attacking Score of 8.5 for this match, the Real Sociedad skipper was the star man in Spain's attack, directly contributing to three of their four goals, with two of his own in addition to an assist.

He was a constant threat throughout, as his five attempts attest to, and also brought an intensity to the front line when out of possession too.

Creativity Score: Álex Baena

An 8.2 Creativity Score for his output is evidence of Baena making the most of his chance and his set-piece deliveries led to two goals from the second phase of play.

Positioned on the left-hand side, he was a danger both on the wing and drifting inside and the opposition had no answer to nullifying him in the pockets of space he picked up in open play too.

Defending Score: Pau Cubarsí

Spain kept their second clean sheet of the tournament and the Barcelona man played a big part in that with a 7.4 Defensive Score for his performance at the back.

He topped all players in the game for winning back possession and interceptions and his anticipation in key moments not only frustrated Saudi Arabia but kickstarted several Spanish transitions.

Group G

Belgium 0-0 IR Iran

Attacking Score: Alexis Saelemaekers

In a game without goals, the Belgian winger did his best for the cause and earned a 5.8 Attacking Score for his efforts in this match.

Despite his direct, positive play, with five ball progressions and four take-ons for his team, he couldn't find a way past the stubborn opposition rearguard.

Creativity Score: Leandro Trossard

The Arsenal attacker had a Creativity Score of 8.3 in this match and was a consistent supporter of team-mates in the final third of the park.

He had 10 progressive passes and was involved in 11 separate phases of play leading to attempts on goal, as well as 11 midfield line breaks.

Defending Score: Brandon Mechele

With 8.0 for his Defending Score for this match, the 33-year-old was not only responsible for largely subduing IR Iran's attack but was also important in progressing play with his forward passing.

He won six aerial duels and interceptions, regained possession on 13 occasions and deservedly helped his side to a well-earned clean sheet.

Group H

Uruguay 2-2 Cabo Verde

Attacking Score: Hélio Varela

The Cabo Verde forward was the highest ranked attacking player for the contest with an Attacking Score of 8.7 thanks to his vital, opportunistic equaliser moments after coming off the bench as a second-half substitute.

That goal had the biggest impact on the game state, capitalising on a slack pass to round the goalkeeper and finish and earn his side another potentially priceless point.

Creativity Score: Maxi Araújo

Fresh off his point-saving performance in the opening game, Araújo kept it up with a Creativity Score of 8.1 and was the key man again for his side in their 2-2 draw with Cabo Verde.

He scored his side's equaliser then provided a headed assist for their second goal and was the complete package in attack with his chance creation and end product.

Defending Score: Roberto Lopes

Cabo Verde had several impressive defensive performers once more with Lopes topping the rankings thanks to a 7.7 Defending Score.

The Irish-born centre-back had 15 regains of possession, three interceptions and a 100% record in his individual duels to carry on where he left off against Spain.

Group G

New Zealand 1-3 Egypt

Attacking Score: Mohamed Salah

The top-ranked attacker for Sunday's final fixture was Egypt talisman Salah who registered an extremely impressive 9.3 in this match.

A frequent menace to the New Zealand defence, his go-ahead goal was the decisive moment in turning the tide and helping his country pick up their first ever win at a FIFA World Cup™.

Creativity Score: Mohamed Salah

Not only was Salah top of the charts for his attacking impact but with a score of 8.2, he was also the main creative influence in the contest.

He had nine progressive passes and two goal involvements by also providing an assist in addition to his own strike.

Defending Score: Mohanad Lashin

The physical Egyptian outranked all other defensive performers, scoring 7.0, thanks to an all-action outing.

He limited Chris Wood to a frustrating day in front of goal, put in six blocks and won his duels when called upon.

At the FIFA World Cup 2026™, FIFA launched a new individual player ranking system based on data collected during matches. The FIFA Power Rankings provide objective, data-driven insight into player performance.

All outfield players will receive a score between 0-10 in three categories (attacking, creativity and defending). Goalkeepers will be scored in two categories: in possession and defending the goal. A ‘Power Ranking Classification’ will be produced after each match round, showing the top 100 players in each category. The Power Ranking is considered as a measure of match and tournament performance: each player receives a score for each match and for their overall performance in the tournament.
