France continued their pursuit of a second World Cup™ title in three tournaments by edging past Paraguay 1-0 in the Round of 16.

Didier Deschamps' side had to be patient against stubborn opposition but once again found a way through, underlining the tournament know-how that has made Les Bleus one of international football's dominant forces over the past decade.

Morocco's remarkable run shows no sign of slowing down after they produced one of the standout performances of the Round of 16, defeating Canada 3-0.

Walid Regragui's side combined their trademark defensive organisation with clinical finishing to reach the quarter-finals, continuing to build on the historic semi-final appearance they achieved at the 2022 FIFA World Cup™.

Players to watch 🔥

For France, Kylian Mbappé remains the player capable of deciding any match in an instant.

The captain's explosive pace, movement and finishing continue to make him one of the tournament's biggest threats. Mbappé earned an Attacking Score of 7.21 in their win over Paraguay in the FIFA Power Rankings - powered by Aramco.

Ousmane Dembélé is another player that Morocco will have to watch carefully with the Paris Saint-Germain forward having received a Creativity Score of 7.67 in that win over Paraguay.
