Two days before hosting Celta at Mestalla, Valencia trained at Paterna with all available players, including Eray Cömert and Stole Dimitrievski. The squad had a rest day yesterday and focus has now turned to Sunday.
Filip Ugrinic was the morning’s positive note after completing the session. He could return to the squad if Carlos Corberán selects him, having missed the Sevilla match with patellar tendon discomfort and without full training since. According to AS, Cömert and Dimitrievski will start and the line-up should be close to the one that won at the Sánchez Pizjuán.
Ugrinic’s availability gives Corberán more scope in midfield, where Guido Rodríguez and Javi Guerra appear undroppable. André Almeida has the edge to take the tip of the midfield three after his strong display last time out, with Lucas Beltrán and Ugrinic pushing to be involved.
Thierry Correia and José Luis Gayà continue to work normally, as they have throughout the week. Injured pair Agirrezabala and Copete remain apart and need several weeks before rejoining the group.
The two internationals, Dimitrievski and Cömert, returned from national-team duty during the league break and trained with the group.
