Filipe Luís is not being considered by Benfica should José Mourinho leave at the end of the season, according to Glorioso 1904.

The hierarchy led by Rui Costa do not believe the Brazilian meets all their criteria, and feel he lacks the status required to lead the project.

Despite his recent success at Flamengo, from which he left a few months ago, Benfica are targeting a different profile for the dugout.

Marco Silva, out of contract at Fulham, is viewed as the option with the widest backing inside the SAD.

Mourinho’s future is uncertain. He remains at the Estádio da Luz on a contract until 2027, and the club are already lining up potential successors for the 63-year-old.
