Lazio are resisting a second Bournemouth loan for Mandas, and a potential move involving Fiorentina has also been mooted.
Ben Jacobs reports that Bournemouth proposed a fresh loan without triggering the 17.5 million purchase option, but talks have not progressed and Lazio are not open to this solution. He adds that the Greek goalkeeper also has interest from other Serie A clubs.
Mandas joined Bournemouth on loan in January after spending the first half of the season on the Lazio bench. He did not make an appearance, with Andoni Iraola relying on Djodje Petrovic.
Gianluca Di Marzio claims Fiorentina could turn to Mandas if David De Gea leaves the Tuscan club.
New Lazio head coach Gennaro Gattuso is planning to hand the 22-year-old a starting role after green-lighting Provedel’s imminent transfer to Inter Milan. Even so, Lazio are reportedly willing to entertain offers for Mandas, with any sale expected to deliver significant capital gains and ease the club’s finances.
If Mandas departs again, 21-year-old Edoardo Motta, who impressed late in the season, could be entrusted with the No.1 shirt.
