Fiorentina done deals: Valdepenas from Real Madrid, Comuzzo to Torino, Moreno to Venezia | OneFootball

Fiorentina have secured Real Madrid academy talent Victor Valdepenas, while Matias Moreno is leaving them for Venezia and Pietro Comuzzo joins Torino.

It’s all change at the Stadio Artemio Franchi this summer, starting with coach Fabio Grosso, after a dire campaign.

The defence is being completely revamped, as Comuzzo is undergoing his Torino medical today, agreeing a €1m loan with €19m option to buy at the end of the season.

His replacement should be Spanish talent Valdepenas, who will turn 20 in October and is a product of the Real Madrid youth academy.

The Spain Under-19 international has been given the all-clear by coach Jose Mourinho to fly out and join Fiorentina, after the Special One had asked to delay for evaluation in pre-season.

It is reported the deal will be worth €8m, but with Real Madrid retaining 50 per cent of his future sale and a buy-back clause, effectively replicating the system used with Nico Paz at Como.

Valdepenas should undergo his medical tests with Fiorentina on Thursday.

At the same time, Fiorentina have agreed the sale of Argentine defender Matias Moreno to newly-promoted Serie A side Venezia.

Firenzeviola claim the fee will be €6m plus 50 per cent of the future sale, again including a buy-back clause.

It should be a loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season if certain conditions are met after last season’s loan at Levante.
