Fiorentina secure Valdepenas as Comuzzo joins Torino and Moreno moves to Venezia | OneFootball

Fiorentina have moved for Real Madrid academy defender Victor Valdepenas, with Pietro Comuzzo joining Torino and Matias Moreno leaving for Venezia.

The defence is being rebuilt under new coach Fabio Grosso after a poor campaign. According to Firenzeviola, Moreno’s switch to newly promoted Venezia is for €6m plus 50 per cent of any future sale and includes a buy-back clause. It is described as a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season if certain conditions are met, after last season’s spell at Levante.

Comuzzo is undergoing his Torino medical today, on a €1m loan with a €19m option to buy at the end of the season.

Valdepenas is expected to replace him. The Spain Under-19 international, who turns 20 in October, came through Real Madrid’s academy and has been cleared by coach Jose Mourinho to travel and join Fiorentina, after he had asked to assess the player during pre-season.

His move is reported to be worth €8m, with Madrid retaining 50 per cent of any future sale and a buy-back clause, mirroring the Nico Paz model at Como. Valdepenas should undergo his Fiorentina medical on Thursday.
