Fiorentina ‘to meet’ Sassuolo over Thorstvedt as €15m fee discussed | OneFootball

Fiorentina are exploring a deal to reunite Thorstvedt with coach Fabio Grosso, despite Besiktas interest.

Sky Sport Italia reports that Fiorentina and Sassuolo have a meeting scheduled for Friday. Tuttomercatoweb claims the clubs will discuss terms for the Norway international.

Viola director Fabio Paratici has already met Thorstvedt’s representative to work on personal terms, but an agreement between the clubs is still required.

The price is understood to be around €15m, and Fiorentina could try to lower it by including Simon Sohm in part exchange. Sohm has returned to Florence after a loan at Bologna.

Thorstvedt has excelled at Sassuolo under Grosso, and a reunion at the Stadio Artemio Franchi this term is possible. He is currently at the World Cup, preparing for Sunday’s Round of 16 against Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil.
