La Nazione reports that Fiorentina are targeting Johan Bakayoko as they step up their search for a wide attacker, with intermediaries already exploring a deal with Leipzig.
The plan centres on a loan with a conditional obligation to buy, triggered if Fabio Grosso’s side qualify for Europe next season. Talks are considered complex with Leipzig, but the structure is one the club hope could make the finances work for a player of Bakayoko’s profile.
The pursuit comes amid a spate of exits from Viola Park. Alessandro Bianco has joined Modena on a permanent deal worth €1 million, with Fiorentina retaining a 50% sell-on clause. Defender Mirko Elia has moved to Bari and forward Filippo Distefano has signed for Empoli.
The clear-out underlines an active summer, with Grosso’s squad being reshaped quickly on both fronts.
Fiorentina have already added Arthur Atta, Alex Jimenez and Radu Dragusin as early recruits.
