Fiorentina ‘to push’ for Aston Villa defender Kosta Nedeljkovic loan before deadline | OneFootball

According to Football Italia, Fiorentina are making a late push to take Aston Villa defender Kosta Nedeljkovic on loan, and RB Leipzig have agreed to cut short his current spell.

The Serbian right-back, 20, is currently on loan at Leipzig and has played 297 minutes across all competitions this season.

The Tuscans still need to reach an agreement with Aston Villa, with the winter transfer window closing today at 20:00 CET, 19:00 GMT.

Fiorentina have been busy in January after unexpectedly finding themselves in a survival fight earlier in the campaign. They are in the relegation zone, one point below safety.

Earlier today they confirmed another defensive addition, welcoming Daniele Rugani from Juventus.
