Fiorentina ‘to target’ Volpato, Gustavo Sa or Viery for 2026-27, but fees deemed high | OneFootball

Fiorentina are assessing attacking options for Fabio Grosso, who is widely expected to take charge, ahead of 2026-27, with valuations proving an obstacle.

Corriere dello Sport reports that Grosso has asked for a creative player to operate behind the striker, with options including Sassuolo’s Cristian Volpato, Famalicao’s Gustavo Sá and Gremio’s Viery.

The Viola come off a dismal campaign, narrowly escaping relegation despite reaching the Conference League quarter-finals. Grosso led Sassuolo to mid-table comfort after promotion from Serie B last summer.

Volpato worked with Grosso at Sassuolo and has been called up by Australia for the 2026 World Cup. His price is understood to sit around €15-20m.

Gustavo Sá, 21, is considered the pricier option at about €30m after four goals and two assists in 34 games this season.

Adam Obert of Cagliari is a cheaper alternative at €8-10m, though he is seen as a less lively profile.
