Fiorentina have accelerated their summer moves, with Arthur Atta undergoing medical tests after a quick agreement with Udinese, while Robin Gosens faces an attempted freeze-out.
Sportitalia and Sky Sport Italia report Gosens has been told he is not in the club’s plans and will not train with the squad, and warn persuading him to leave could be difficult. Bild claims he could be sold for a nominal €1m.
The deal for the midfielder was struck at €25-30m, with Udinese retaining 30 percent of any future sale, indicating a valuation of €40m. He is set to sign a four-year contract on around €1.3m per season.
Atta was pictured arriving at the Viola camp for his tests as pre-season begins at the Viola Park complex. New head coach Fabio Grosso held his presentation press conference today.
Fiorentina aim to move Gosens’ wages off the books before his deal expires in June 2028. Schalke 04 are interested, but the player is digging his heels in. He halted a proposed switch to Nottingham Forest in January.
