First goal for Mbappé in Ligue 1

A Mbappé made waves in Ligue 1 again this Sunday, but this time, it wasn’t Kylian making the headlines. His younger brother, Ethan Mbappé, scored his very first goal in the French top flight during Lille’s victory over Toulouse (2-1).

Coming off the bench with just nine minutes left, the 18-year-old midfielder delivered for Les Dogues deep into stoppage time. In the 98th minute, he volleyed home a cross, sending the ball into the top left corner and securing all three points for his team.

Ethan Mbappé was hampered by injuries last season. After joining Lille from PSG in 2024, he signed a three-year deal with the northern club. While Kylian Mbappé now plays for Real Madrid, his younger brother is beginning to write his own story in Ligue 1.
