In fact Celtic’s £35 per match package is the cheapest of all the British teams in UEFA’s second tier competition this season. Feel free to speculate but had the transfer window ended differently and that ill-advised statement wasn’t rushed out on Saturday night – ahead of the CSA Delegates meeting the next day, then we’d have probably been closer to £40 per match ticket for these four group stage matches at Celtic Park.

Many Celtic Supporters have withdrawn their names from the HCTS in protest and accordingly will not be buying the Europa League packages anyway. For them the damage has been done and the ball is firmly back in Celtic’s net to remedy the problems, open up communication channels with the support, get the CEO to apologise for his transfer window frustrations and promise to speak publicly to the Celtic Supporters on a regular basis. As far as I know none of us bite.
The club announced their Europa League ticket packages this afternoon on the official Celtic FC website, ending a few days in the doldrums for the club’s media team who will have been glad to have something to do. Here the message:
‘The Champions of Scotland are back in European action this month in the league phase of the UEFA Europa League.
‘Eight thrilling games await, with four of those fixtures at Celtic Park – against Braga, Sturm Graz, Roma and Utrecht. The four-match package is on sale now – don’t miss out on another exciting European adventure under the lights at Paradise!’
They reminded us of the dates:
