Fixture highlights: Bayern coming up early, finale at home | OneFootball

The new season is slowly starting to creep up on us now: the Bundesliga fixture list for 2026/27 has been released, and already excitement is beginning to build as to what awaits the Red Bulls both in Leipzig and on the road. RBL's new top-flight campaign will finally get underway on the last weekend of August (28th to 30th) as Borussia Mönchengladbach make the trip to the Red Bull Arena.

Our opening Bundesliga game of 26/27 will also mark a first for our new head coach Martín Demichelis, as he takes to the dugout in the German top flight for the first time in his coaching career to date. The omens are looking good, though - RBL have never lost a Bundesliga home match against Gladbach, with six wins and four draws in the books so far. Demichelis himself even boasts a strong record against the Foals from his playing days, having never lost against Borussia.

Bayern, BVB and a finale on home turf: coming up for the Red Bulls...

The first calendar highlight coming up for RBL is in the middle of October, with a trip to FC Bayern on the agenda for matchday 6. The game in Munich will take place on the weekend of 16th-18th October 2026. The reverse fixture in Leipzig is confirmed for late February, the weekend of 26th-28th February 2027 to be precise.

It'll be a Christmas cracker to finish of the calendar year as well. Just before the winter break, Leipzig will host Borussia Dortmund in our own back yard. The game against BVB is scheduled for the weekend of 18th-20th December at the Red Bull Arena. The reverse fixture will see us head to Dortmund sometime between the 23rd and 25th of April 2027.

At the beginning of March, RBL fans can look forward to another exciting fixture: newly promoted Bundesliga side Schalke 04 will travel to Leipzig on matchday 25. The match is scheduled to take place over the weekend of 5th-7th March 2027. Exact kick-off times will be confirmed by the Bundesliga. As always, we’ll keep you updated as soon as our fixtures are officially finalised.

The date and time of our season finale has already been confirmed. On matchday 34, TSG Hoffenheim will travel to Leipzig. The match will take place on 22nd May 2027 at 15:30 CEST and will round off the campaign at the Red Bull Arena.
