Flaco and Roque celebrate as Palmeiras reach Libertadores semis

The Palmeiras is back in the semifinals of the Libertadores. The team defeated River Plate 3-1, coming from behind, this Wednesday (24) at Allianz Parque and secured a spot among the top four teams in the continental competition. Vitor Roque and Flaco López, twice, scored the goals for Palmeiras.

I want to thank God, because He has helped us and granted us another beautiful Libertadores night. Football is decided in the details. We played a great first half in the first leg. Today, we didn’t start well in the first half, but we adjusted in the second half and secured the qualification. River is a very tough opponent, and our goal was to advance.
