Flamengo supporters protested at CT Ninho do Urubu on Saturday 28, but no player came out to speak. Director José Boto and head coach Filipe Luís were also targeted by the demonstrations.
According to Coluna Do Fla, a senior squad member offered to meet fans, but the club did not authorise it, maintaining that organised groups should not enter the facility.
After failing to meet players at the CT, members of Torcida Jovem surrounded a condominium in Rio de Janeiro, seeking players attending midfielder Evertton Araújo’s party. Gonzalo Plata and Jorge Carrascal were singled out.
Players and the football department were unhappy with protests held at events away from the club environment, while the board viewed the demands as legitimate and peaceful, but still denied access to the training ground.
The club are in early-season turbulence, having failed to match 2025 levels and already recorded two runners-up finishes. They lost to Corinthians in the Supercopa do Brasil, then to Lanús (ARG) in the Recopa Sul-Americana.
Flamengo face Madureira on Monday 02 at 21:00 Brasília time at the Maracanã, the second leg of the Carioca semi-final.
