Flamengo face Fluminense in a one-off Campeonato Carioca final at the Maracanã at 18:00 Brasília time, their eighth consecutive showpiece.
According to Coluna Do Fla, Leonardo Jardim is their eighth different coach across these eight consecutive finals, with four of them Portuguese. Those are Jorge Jesus, Paulo Sousa, Vítor Pereira and Leonardo Jardim.
The sequence began in 2019 under Abel Braga. Jorge Jesus followed. In 2021, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Rogério Ceni led the side.
Paulo Sousa took charge in 2022, with Vítor Pereira the Portuguese in the following season. Tite oversaw 2024, then Filipe Luís in 2025, before Jardim took charge.
Across the previous seven finals, Flamengo won five and lost two. Fluminense beat them in 2022 and 2023, when Paulo Sousa and Vítor Pereira were in charge.
