Flamengo confirm Cebolinha rib fracture as Pulgar sustains shoulder injury | OneFootball

Flamengo issued a pre-match medical update before facing Santos on Sunday. The club said in a statement that Everton Cebolinha has sustained a rib fracture and Pulgar has a right shoulder injury, with both unavailable along with Alex Sandro and Saúl.

Pulgar is suspended for today’s game and has an acromioclavicular joint injury in his right shoulder. Cebolinha felt pain during the last match against Red Bull Bragantino and scans the following day confirmed a rib fracture. Alex Sandro continues field work with physios, while Saúl is progressing after surgery on his left heel.

The notable inclusion in the squad is Bruno Henrique. The likely XI is Rossi, Varela, Léo Ortiz, Léo Pereira, Ayrton Lucas, Evertton Araújo (De la Cruz), Jorginho, Arrascaeta, Paquetá, Pedro and Lino.

Flamengo face Santos at 17:30 Brasília time in the 10th round of the Brasileirão at the Maracanã.
