Flamengo host Independiente Medellín at the Maracanã on Thursday in the Libertadores group stage, with coach Leonardo Jardim missing two players and weighing up two others.
Jorginho is recovering from a calf injury to the soleus muscle, has no timeline for a return and remains under medical care. Despite avoiding surgery, the Chilean Erick Pulgar is rehabbing a shoulder dislocation, also without a date to come back, and is out of the second round. According to Coluna Do Fla, Saúl Ñíguez and Cebolinha could be available, with the Spaniard the likelier return.
Saúl underwent surgery on his left heel in January 2026, is now recovered and trained fully with team-mates on Tuesday 15.
Jardim will make the final call on whether to include the midfielder.
Kick-off is at 21:30, Brasília time, and Flamengo need a positive result to regain top spot in Group A.
