Flamengo were given Sunday off before returning to work on Monday, following a 1-1 draw with Internacional in the 21st round.

Sunday had initially been set for training, but the football department altered plans and granted a rest day. Players are due back on Monday, with the session time yet to be confirmed and the next match scheduled for nine August.

On Saturday, Palmeiras issued a statement criticising the STJD after Maurício was cited for violent conduct. The note referenced Flamengo and Erick Pulgar, and Abel Ferreira’s side received a rebuttal from Flamengo.

The club remain attentive to squad reshaping during this window, preparing for possible departures and arrivals.
