Flamengo ‘make enquiry for’ Tottenham forward Alejo Véliz | OneFootball

Flamengo have enquired about Tottenham forward Alejo Véliz as they continue to shape their 2026 squad, according to Paparazzo Rubro-Negro.

The Argentine is highly rated by the club’s scouting department.

Véliz emerged at Rosario Central and joined Tottenham in 2023 aged 19. He gained experience on loan at Sevilla and Espanyol, then later returned to the Argentine club.

Currently on loan at Rosario Central until June this year, he has featured in 16 matches, scoring five and providing one assist during their title-winning Argentine league campaign.

Flamengo want a new centre-forward for the season that starts on Sunday 11. An initial move for Taty Castellanos at Lazio did not lead to an agreement.

They then pursued Cruzeiro’s Kaio Jorge, submitting two big-money offers, but again there was no progress. The club remain in the market for alternatives.
