Flamengo are monitoring Tigre forward David Romero as a potential signing for the next transfer window.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the 24-year-old is unlikely to remain at Tigre amid strong interest, with Flamengo among the clubs to have tracked him since last year.

No official offer has been made by Flamengo. Cruzeiro and Palmeiras are exploring a deal, while foreign teams are also in the race.

Romero has been a standout this season, scoring 12 goals and providing two assists in 18 appearances for Tigre.

For the second half of the 2026 season, Flamengo plan targeted additions, with the forward line a priority. The club are still assessing options and have not fixed on a single target.

Meanwhile, most of the squad are on holiday and are due back at Ninho do Urubu on 19 June. Nine players remain with their national teams preparing for the 2026 World Cup.
