Flamengo players on holiday before squad report back on 19 | OneFootball

Flamengo’s squad are due to report back at Ninho do Urubu on Friday 19 to begin preparations for the second half of the season. According to Globo.com, players are making the most of their break with trips abroad and sharing snaps on social media.

The plan includes medical tests on return and one week of training before flying to Europe on 28 June. The group will remain there until 12 July, with stops in Lagos and Estoi.

Defender Léo Ortiz, who returned to Rio de Janeiro early to continue his injury recovery, also visited Paris with his wife Maitê. They took in a João Fonseca match at Roland Garros.

Several team-mates headed to Europe. Midfielder Jorginho spent time in London with his England-born wife, and is now enjoying his final days in Greece, as is Luiz Araújo. Vitão travelled to Ibiza in Spain, where reserve goalkeeper Dyogo Alves is also based for his break, while Bruno Henrique is in Italy and striker Pedro visited more than one country with his family.

Emerson Royal and Wallace Yan posted training content during their downtime. Saúl, who also returned early to the Ninho to work on his fitness, attended Brazil’s match at the Maracanã.
