Flamengo have secured 100% of Wallace Yan’s economic rights after striking a deal to buy out the remaining share.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the club previously held 70%, with Ferroviária-SP owning 30%, and paid R$ 14 million to the São Paulo side to complete the purchase.
The club also added two players, left-back Samuel Baptista and right-back Rafael Moraes, who will link up with the youth set-up.
An academy graduate, Wallace Yan made his senior debut in 2024 and has since experienced ups and downs.
He scored two goals at the SuperMundial de Clubes and, alongside Jorginho, finished as Flamengo’s joint top scorer at the 2025 tournament in the United States.
The forward is now trying to seize the chances offered by coach Leonardo Jardim. He caught the eye during a training camp in Portugal, enhancing his standing with the Portuguese.
Flamengo are seeking to regain momentum after the World Cup. After thrashing Chapecoense, they drew with São Paulo at the Maracanã and with Internacional in Porto Alegre.
Their next match is on Sunday 09, when they host Vitória in the Brasileirão, with kick-off at 19:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã.
