Flamengo step up Remo preparations, Erick Pulgar signs Nike deal, CBF names referee | OneFootball

Flamengo intensified preparations on Wednesday 18 ahead of Thursday 19’s meeting with Remo at the Maracanã.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the squad had a day off on Monday 16, then returned to training at Ninho do Urubu on Tuesday 17. Head coach Leonardo Jardim stepped up the work on Wednesday 18 for the Remo fixture on Thursday 19.

With a night kick-off at the Maracanã on Thursday 19, the coach will also run a further activation session for the players.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has appointed Paulo Cesar Zanovelli da Silva (MG) to referee the seventh round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, which starts at 20:00 Brasília time. Neuza Inês Back (SC) and Carlos Eduardo Ribeiro Santos (MT) are the assistants, with Daiane Muniz (MS) on VAR.

Midfielder Erick Pulgar announced on Tuesday 17 that he is now sponsored by Nike. He marked the news with a video featuring images of Ronaldinho Gaúcho and Ronaldo Fenômeno.
