Flamengo are exploring a move for Paulo Dybala, who will not renew his contract with Roma, and are preparing a four-year offer. According to Coluna Do Fla, the 32-year-old’s current deal runs to June.
Boca Juniors also want the Argentine, though Flamengo are seen as favourites given stronger financial terms compared with Argentina.
Dybala last played on 25 January, logging 69 minutes in a 1-1 draw with Milan. In early March he underwent surgery on a partial meniscus tear in his left knee. He is expected to return in mid-April.
This season, 2025/26, he has 22 appearances, three goals and four assists.
He prefers to start from the right, the same flank favoured by Plata. Head coach Leonardo Jardim is unhappy with the Ecuadorian’s off-field conduct and is willing to negotiate his exit after the World Cup, though internally the club believe the no. 50 can only depart once a replacement is signed.
As plans take shape, Flamengo visit Bragantino on Thursday 02, the ninth round of the Brasileirão, with kick-off at 21:30 Brasília time in Bragança Paulista.
