Flamengo’s main sponsor sends message to Lucas Paquetá | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, Betano, Flamengo's main sponsor, sent a public message welcoming Lucas Paquetá, now the No 20, back to the club.

The midfielder struck on Sunday 15 in the Carioca quarter-finals. He took a first-time shot from the edge of the box into the left corner, leaving Botafogo goalkeeper Neto with no chance. The win sent Flamengo into the semi-finals.

The sponsor's post on social media lauded his comeback, saying he had pulled on the shirt and made history, and hailed the academy graduate's impact.

The message was accompanied by a photo of Paquetá celebrating.

With a semi-final place secured, Paquetá and the Flamengo squad travelled to Argentina on Tuesday 17 for the Recopa Sudamericana first leg against Lanús.

Kick-off is 21:30 Brasília time on Thursday 19.
