Florent Ghisolfi linked as Sunderland ‘submit enquiry’ and Browne exit ‘considered’ | OneFootball

Sunderland are being linked with a midfield reshuffle, with interest in Celtic’s Arne Engels and a possible permanent exit for Alan Browne.

Sky Sports reported earlier this week that the Black Cats are among several clubs monitoring the Belgian in Glasgow, alongside Nottingham Forest and Fulham.

TuttoMercatoWeb now claims Napoli have entered the race, with the Serie A club at risk of losing André-Frank Zambo Anguissa and viewing Engels as a potential replacement.

TuttoMercatoWeb also says Sunderland and Forest have submitted enquiries about Engels, and that offers above £21.6 million could persuade Celtic to sell.

The Northern Echo reports Middlesbrough are weighing up a permanent move for Sunderland loanee Alan Browne, who made 42 appearances as Boro lost the Championship play-off final to Hull City. The report adds they plan to bring in at least two midfielders this summer, and Browne remains under consideration.
