Florent Sanchez best player as Dijon’s Baptiste Ridira wins coach of the season

The National handed out its awards on Sunday, with Orléans midfielder Florent Sanchez named best player. Dijon were heavily represented, as coach Baptiste Ridira and goalkeeper Paul Delecroix collected major honours.
According to L'Équipe, the 11th Trophées du National took place at the Centre National du Football in Clairefontaine, the day after the 33rd and penultimate round that crowned Dijon champions and secured promotion to Ligue 2. Voting was by players and coaches, except the referee categories.
The champions also supplied three players to the team of the season, while Sochaux, also on the verge of returning to Ligue 2, matched that tally.
Sanchez, also the division’s leading assist provider, is 23 and a former Lyon prospect.
Shelton Guillaume of Versailles was named revelation of the season. Benjamin Lepaysant took best referee, with Julien Reynet the best assistant referee. Morgan Jean-Pierre of Fleury won goal of the season.
