With the Real Madrid presidential election fast approaching, Florentino Perez has unveiled a new proposal aimed directly at the club’s members, introducing what could become one of the most distinctive benefits of membership in the years ahead.

Just days before voting takes place, Perez’s campaign announced an initiative that would see every club member receive an exclusive limited-edition shirt each season. 

Unlike standard kits released by the club, these jerseys would not be available for public purchase, making them unique items reserved exclusively for members.

What’s the story?

The initiative, named ‘La Socia’, would introduce a special annual shirt inspired by iconic moments and designs from Real Madrid’s history.

A promotional video released by the campaign showcased several classic jerseys that could serve as inspiration for future editions. 

Among the featured designs were some of the most recognisable shirts in the club’s history, including kits associated with major achievements and memorable eras.

Each shirt would carry a special badge exclusive to members, ensuring that the design remains unique and cannot be replicated through normal retail channels.

The most significant aspect of the proposal is that the shirts would not be sold commercially, as access would be restricted entirely to club members, creating a collection that could grow season after season.

A special memorabilia

The campaign also confirmed that members would not be required to pay any additional fee to receive the shirt. 

Instead, it would become part of the benefits package associated with membership if Perez is re-elected.

Under the proposed model, one shirt would be distributed every year, gradually allowing supporters to build a collection of limited-edition jerseys celebrating different periods of Real Madrid’s history.

“In the face of those who would like a weaker Real Madrid, the campaign champions the pride of belonging as the institution’s greatest strength,” read the campaign statement.

With voting set to take place this weekend, the proposal remains one of the final major promises from Perez’s campaign. 

Whether it ultimately influences the election outcome remains to be seen, but it is certainly an initiative likely to attract attention among members who value the club’s history and identity.
