And while his goals and assists haven’t been at their highest level, the boss says he has no concerns about Foden or his ability to rediscover the sort of form that saw him voted the Premier League Player of the Year and the Football Writers’  Association Footballer of the year in 2024.

This season alone, he’s scored 10 goals in 41 appearances and Guardiola says every player experiences highs and lows during their careers.

“He’s 25, he’s won six PLs and a lot of things,” said Pep.

“The contribution is incredible. It’s a normal process in a long, long career. It’s a normal situation.
