Chelsea will lock horns with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium on Wednesday night as they look to secure a win on the road in the EFL Cup. The Blues suffered a tough 2-1 loss against Sunderland recently, so they would be desperate to put in a much-improved showing versus Wolves in midweek.
Enzo Maresca will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a lot of changes to his starting XI for this game. Wesley Fofana, Jamie Gittens and Romeo Lavia could all play from the start of this contest.
Filip Jorgensen will feature in goal for the Blues as he looks to keep a clean sheet on the road this Wednesday night. Wesley Fofana will function alongside Tosin Adarabioyo at the heart of Maresca’s defence as they look to keep a solid shape on the defensive end of the field.
Josh Acheampong will fill in as the right-back, while Jorrel Hato will hope to impress on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will be instructed to go forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Trevoh Chalobah and Reece James will be named on the bench as they provide cover for the defensive positions.

Romeo Lavia and Reggie Walsh will operate as the holding midfielders for Chelsea at the centre of the park.
The talented trio of Jamie Gittens, Facundo Buonanotte and Alejandro Garnacho will play just ahead of them as part of Maresca’s attack. All three of them need to link up with each other well if they are to create some promising chances in the final third.
Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Pedro Neto will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if needed.
Marc Guiu will lead the charge for the West London club up top. He would be eager to impress after failing to score against Sunderland recently.
Joao Pedro will make up the numbers on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the final quarter of the clash if Chelsea are in need of a goal.
