On Sunday 12 April, the Milano Marathon returns as one of the city's most anticipated sporting and charitable events. For the eighth time, Fondazione Milan will take on a leading role, reaffirming its commitment to the local community and promoting sport as a powerful tool for inclusion, wellbeing and personal growth, as well as a means of preventing youth isolation.
For over twenty years, the Club's Foundation has developed projects dedicated to young people in Milan, supporting their growth through sport and progressively expanding both the number of initiatives and beneficiaries involved. This commitment underlines Fondazione Milan's role as a key social actor within the city, in line with AC Milan’s broader focus on psychophysical wellbeing, a value also embedded in its working environment through the integration of sport and social responsibility.
The Milano Marathon once again provides a unique opportunity to bring together the Rossoneri community. This year's participation includes 47 relay teams and three athletes in the full marathon, for a total of 191 runners - including 32 AC Milan employees - all united in running and fundraising to support the more than 400 young people involved in the Sport for Change programme.
Once again, several AC Milan Partners are standing alongside the Foundation. Among them are Grenade, present for the second consecutive year on the runners' shirts and ready to provide energy bars; PUMA, which has supplied technical gear to participants and organised, on Thursday 9 April, the second edition of JOIN THE RUN, a training session where runners had the opportunity to test the new Deviate NITRO 4 shoes along a route starting from the Bottega del Diavolo in Via Dante; and Clivet, Powerade and Q8, all of whom are taking part with their own runners while supporting participants with gadgets and useful products for sporting activity.
At the end of the Milano Marathon, Fondazione Milan will present two awards to the Rossoneri runners:
